Had been quite free lately due to low season of tourism but i guess i would be busy with works again soon starting from end of this month till Dec, hopefully..? Anyway this post is just to try out my new template which i updated few days ago. The past month started from mid of September till end of this year is actually wedding's peak season, but pity me eh i had only shot 2 weddings so far LOL! Now i truly shout out loud that my camera gear is seriously under utilised! Will upload some of those highlights here as soon as i'm done with the processing together with some past weddings i shot which i didnt upload here. Yesterday after a tiring working day i went out for a slight dinner with Keira instead of cooking at home.. We decided to go to a kopitiam at Hilltop so that we wont have to go too far from home.. Just short after we sat down and had our order i was shocked because this poster was just in front of our table and i actually couldnt recognized it at 1st haha.. A couple of months ago Sungku came asked for my help to shoot this photo because he said the client wanted to print it on brochure for advertise purpose.. So since then i never expect to see this photo again after i submitted the finalized work to his office, in poster size somemore! Yeah it might only be a simple limau kasturi but it was quite surprised haha.. Just like back in years ago my photos of G-cut academy 1st competition was published and sticked on poster everywhere.. Cheers everyone, have a nice weekdays ahead!

I will just drop by some slight post here as i have little time to online while waiting to transfer my tourists to a dinner. Last week after few days of exhausted non stop working day, not enough sleep and the hardcore weather plus my insufficient water supply for my body, i finally fell sick, as i'm typing this from this wifi spot i still feel some sore in my throat.. I started up with fever, flu and sore throat.. which made me thought that with my job which requires me to get in touches with hundreds of foreigner tourists everydays, i thought that i might influenced with H1N1, which almost like end of the world for me cause if i really do, that i have to be quarantine for a week or so before they could prove that whether i'm infected. The 2nd day of my sick day was very hard cause i was worrying till die as my fever was getting worse, yet i still had to work.. I went to the scan booth of H1N1 the same night at Q.E.H to make sure that i wasnt influenced, the waiting moment was very hard as it was killing me in my mind! So straight to the result that luckily i wasnt influenced, i was just too tired for work that my body couldnt take it anymore thats why it shows some red lights! So here is some advice to my fellow friends, if u have been out of this country recently and feel sick after u come back, better go and check so that u wont burden friends and family around u. Have a nice weekend ahead! Ciaos!

Havent been blog for ages as I had been out of internet access for months! The past few months i had been busying for moving new house and works, not to mention about this month which is incentive group month, i doubt that i even slept for 30 hours a week! By now i'm done with the new house moving's thingy, and June is coming to its end now so as to those tiring incentive group, will be back online as soon as i get my internet access (I'm surfing through some wifi coverage spot now). I havent been shooting anything lately, the last wedding i shot would be the one in May and even now i'm still doing the pics processing! Time has been short for me as i have too many things and stuffs and some planning but all of them cant be doing at the same time! Anyway below are some sneak tease of Warren & Kelly pre-wedding i shot in May, in fact this considered as my 1st attempt to pre-wedding shot cause all these while i shot only actual day wedding, so err.. if u feel like to C&C even its only few pics, u're very welcome to do so! ^_^

Since last year worldwide economic down turn which started in the USA which has caused a ripple effect through out the world, Economists are expecting a worldwide economic slump in 2009 worldwide. But maybe many of us Malaysians are not feeling the effections because it doesnt cause alot difference in some other industry compare to 10 years ago. But in my industry, which is tourism line, it makes a big effections. Less tourist, currency rate problem, cost cutting, late payment, cheaper tour fees, minus fees tour, non profitable incentive tour.. With all these issues, tourism line becomes a tough job for lot of peoples since this industry is consider one of the majority incomes for most Sabahan. Nobody have any idea or actual predictions of how long is this ripple going to last.

I'm one of them, so instead of sitting duck and "tunggu mati", lately i made some worst preparation of letting go one of my current burden...

First of all, I Would like to say "Gong Xi Fatt Chai!!" to everyone out there.. I hope its still not so late hehe.. I didnt had times to blog, and when i did, that was mostly when my mind was blank otherwise I was too exhausted! Didnt even had times to take pics! I received this forwarded sms from one of my old friend that says "To those I have wronged, I humbly ask forgiveness. To those I may have helped, I wish i did more. To those who helped me, I sincerely THANK YOU & wish you a truely blessed chinese new year!" I guess this sms was somehow spoken out some voices from my heart. Surprisingly I spent the countdown in my own room this year, no more working at airport, no more drinking session, no more hanging out with friends.. And most of my friends stayed home.. I havent shoot anything lately, has been neglecting my camera for so long, i think its about times to let go some of the camera equipment i have now cause they have been really really under utilised, watching them stayed put in the drybox has been a pathetic dilemma for me, have to let go them for a better owner so that they can be fully utilises rather than just being a decoration, decision's hard to make sometimes.. Nothing's up..having a rest today.. Just sent out another group yesterday..the last incentive group of 2008 Hyundai dream tour.. There will be no more incentive group(hope so..) starting next month until april of next year..
A simply sunset shot of mine.. The day got dark very fast nowadays as its almost end of the year soon.. And Christmas day and New Year's eve is approaching soon.. I still remember last year i spent my countdown at airport working for tour, some of my friends called and shouted "Yooooo happy 2008 brother~!!~! Where the hell are u counting down ohhh~~??" and i answered "I'm at airport working man...Can i call u back later..?" then they replied "Huh what?! Dont play ehhh lin c~~!!" and i hanged up the phone "tut...." LOL!! Very funny cause i answered most of my phone calls that way the moment we stepped in year 2008 hahaha... It feels somehow..just like yesterday.. and we have to say goodbye to year 2008 soon.. Time flies huh ~~~ ??

A friend of mine once said, "What for you upload alot of these kind of pics into your blog, these pics are worthless, they cant make you money, afterall its meaningless". Yeah perhaps my friend was right, my pics couldnt made me money, but overall this is my personal blog, its not some advertisement blog or media blog that requires nice pics and nice text so that those daily hundreds visitor would be please for just looking at your pics or read what you had to bluff or brag about.. So i dont give a d*mn about what peoples who visits my blog would think whether my pics is making me money.. I even doubt whether my blog have more than 2 visitor a day LOL! Afterall its just for me myself, its for SS(siok sendiri) and for sharing my passion. If you're so good and you have hundreds visitor a day, does your pics makes you a big fortune? If it does, then why do u have to end up like this today? Oh well, mine does, it makes me a big fortune in happiness! Pity me eh? ;) *peace*

Nothing's up lately, not so busy and not so free. Found these pics in my harddisk taken around last year april-may when i was still using my kitlens 18-55 and the 50f1.8 haha... The flower pic is abit washed out cause i shot it at 1600 ISO under bright sunny day hahaha! Well..its kinda nice looking back at some old pics cause then u would know what had u been through before..from kitlens till L lens, it was kinda interested ^_^

Havent been blogged for long times, been quite busy for the previous month, and I've got like an almost half full 250GIG external harddisk of new pics which I havent go through the processing yet, gonna headache'ing for them for quite sometimes now..

October was an incentive group month, handled 4 groups of incentive group which was a hell of tiring responsibility for me because I havent been handling incentive for like, 5 months? Or so.. Anyway, I still hate incentive group though! Even it looked like it suites my working style more...

Nevertheless, or should I say Finally, after days of tiring hard works, or years... I am so happy to announce that I finally went to my 1st vacation after 2 years which the last time was for my sister's wedding trip at KL.. This vacation was actually planned for my lovely girl friend, Keira's 23rd birthday, and I have to say this trip was really a wonderful trip for us.. The breath taking moments is unforgettable.. But afterall I still dont have much times to do the photos processing yet..hence came back to city and working life..worst part is the mind is still moaning for the trip!! I think perhaps I'm gonna do it in a slideshow so it wouldnt eat up so much space here and the photos loading times... So guys..gimme sometimes! And in this meantimes, let's see if u guys could guess what place did i went to for my vacation... The hint is: 2 Islands, 1 Resort, 1 Spa .. hehehe...

3rd August 2008 - A day to remember...I SOLD OFF MY BELOVED CANON EOS 400D !!! *sob*sob* ! Without any preparation...without any notice given...A buyer just pop up and offer me a reasonable price.........And I couldnt resist !! This camera has been my precious since a year ago..companied me in so many war field before..gonna miss it so much ! So from now on..and dont know when is my next new machine gonna come..I'm now a photographer who doesnt have a camera...I'm now a..... 无机人..!

Was too busy and didnt had times to do the processing of these set of pictures. Anyway, Cho Karam is Daughter of Lion Cho & Bandy. Lion Cho is a Korean tourist guide, they met when Lion handled a group of tourists which Bandy was one of them, they fall in love so deeply that not long after that they got married and now within 1 and half year since they met their 1st daughter was borned. Well I just want to say Congratulations to Lion & Bandy on their 1st daughter Karam, hope God bless their small family with love forever. Sometimes... Miracles do happen right ?

My Canon system equipment as on 25th July 2008. Actually this 17-40 wasnt the one i bought brand new that i posted here before, i sold that off but after that abit regret so i bought this used item back again hehe... As for the 70-200, YES i have TWO, 1 is newer. Among all these L babies and non L babies, i have to say that i still love the 10-22 alot, which is causing me hesitate to upgrade to fullframe camera now... Thats why i'm still sticking with my 400D now cause i have no idea whats the next new machine i should upgrade to... Just wait and see 1st ^_^

Didnt take my own pics for quite a long times, even i did but most of all it ended with not nice pic came out. I gain weight easily and lose weight easily so from times to times when i looked back at my old pic i found myself changed alot, some looked fat and some looked thin, some looked fair but some looked very dark. Found this pic of me taken by someone around last year october at warisan square, i was short hair and had an average body, abit baby fat hehe... And oh yeah, with my lovely and cool National Geographic camera bag, which i sold it off last few months because i found it under utilized and my camera equipment is growing, abit regret now..*sob*

最近油起价，令国家人民的生活负担又增加了。对于在旅游业的我，影响也蛮大的，因为油起价了，生活费增高了，然而薪水却没有增加。这一阵子，工作也蛮受气的！因为薪水没起，所以好多的旅游吧司机都工作的很不心甘情愿，很不合作，有时候竟然还在游客面前发脾气，给脸色。这也当然，工作照旧的多，但是工资却也还是照旧的少，换作是我早就罢工了。很多的餐厅也因而减少了游客的食物，为何？因为食物也贵了，他们认为如果不用这些手法，那就再也赚不了钱。这样的想法，对吗？？！在这风头火势的时候，我们是不是应该更努力的去博取客人的欢心啊？！这种情况下，我个人认为，价钱可以提高少许，但是食物就不可以减少！试想如果你是游客的话，你会有什么感受？减少食物的话，客人回到自己国家肯定会回到当地的旅行社投诉，投诉很自然就会弹到我们本地的旅行社，本地的旅行社就很肯定的一定会把这一个问题再反映回本地的餐厅。长期之下，本地餐厅的名誉还保得住吗？不单只这样，在很多方面也都出现同样问题，更严重的甚至发生过导游弃团。要知道最无辜的不是你们啊，而是在自己国家报了团一心想要来旅游放松却遭到这样的对待的游客啊。。。再这样下去，国家的形象还保得住吗？还有游客来吗？唉。。。

Again...its moon, but yet again not full moon, and its full of mist tonight covering the sky, eventhough i shot it with the Canon 2x Extender the pic still came out not that expected sharp... And did i thought too much or its just the moon is moving quite fast tonight, boost it till 400 shutter speed but still felt that the pic is a lil shake, over than that the pic was under expose.. But actually the moon was not too bright as usual tonight so guess i am gonna have to wait till next full moon again as the last few days ago when its full moon the weather was not nice...

Working hard and Having fun playing hard at the same times is very enjoyable, life at least meet the balancing of human emotional and physical and mental needed. BUT, if working hard most of the times and lack of rest and sleep, alot of pressure and being pushed all the times while only have fun relaxing once in a while, the normalization of life became unaligned. U seems to lost interest in everythings, including foods, drinks, ur fancy things, u just suddenly turned out not interested anymore, eventhough u know u're gonna have a dayoff the next day, u wont be planning what to do to fill in the offday like u usually did anymore, all u need is just a long rest. U tried so hard to back to normal life, tried so hard to stable the daily life, tried so hard to get so many delayed things done, but afterall its just a blank thought because u just doesnt have the times for it. Most of the days especially holiday(which also stand for sunday for normal office hour working fellas) u wish u can just runaway from work for one day to go have fun with ur precious fellas, but eversince u stepped in this working society, u know it and ur are clear enough that for some non reasonable reality in this world, the cruel realistic of this living space, when the company needs u on the important moments and u runaway for fun eventhough for only one day, u could lose this job forever... So what can u do? U go to work, keep ur daydreams behind, end up with tired and exhausted day, and continue moaning on ur daily working life... That's life, and life's suck...

The pics said it all, like i mentioned in my previous post before this lens will be my next lens, so here it is! My 2nd Canon L lens, the 17-40mm F4L USM EF lens. Bought it around last week but didnt had times to post it up here, it is brand new and i bought it from local shop, it cost me around RM2500 fuhh... a lil bit expensive than KL prices and online shopping prices but i thought hmm...nevermind, because if anything goes wrong i can just go back to the shop for the warranty claim unlike buying online i will have to post it somewhere and probably wait for long times for the return.. Apology for the poor picture quality because i was too lazy to put on the external flash so i shot it under high ISO.. For now my next target is either upgrade a new camera body or buy another L lens, my partner Gerry bought one of my dream lens the legendary 24-70mm F2.8L USM so i guess this lens is no longer in my list.. What's next items in my wish list,

Canon EOS 5D full frame camera (Why 5D? Because i cant afford 1Ds Mark III)

16-35mm F2.8L II USM (Widest length in Full Frame camera)

50mm F1.2L USM (Damn Sharp! Good for portrait! Bulu muka also can see!)

70-200mm F4L USM (Why F4 while i already have a F2.8? Because this lens is very light and its good for outdoor, wont tired holding it around, and outdoor u dont need F2.8)

Canon EOS 40D (Fastest Canon 1.6x crop camera)

Damn...believe it or not...all of these equipment can almost cost a used Proton Waja... Sigh.. What an expensive dream...~

Finally got myself a new tripod.. The Manfrotto 190xPro with the add-on 486RC2 BallHead, it cost me around RM700 fuhh... Love it so much for the function cause not only it can be use as a vertical tripod, it can also be use as a macro tripod. This is the link for further info of the tripod.

Woke up late today cause didnt had any tour to conduct... At the evening I went to shoot this event known as "2008 YUM Brand STAR Awards Gala Dinner" which was held at Shangrila Tanjung Aru Resort. The participants came from all different country around Asia representing some food brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, A&W, Long John Silver and Taco Bell. I had been eating KFC and Pizza Hut since i was kid but i never know these food brands actually has a huge supplier behind, actually i'm not even sure whether its a supplier but its something to do with the franchise, its a BIG thing, I didnt even know its a BIG thing before i went there, i thought its just some annual dinner or something, I was the assigned photographer somemore lol... Those participants are greatman from their country, some of them was given the STAR Award for the year best seller, year best supplier, year best dealer etc etc i cant recall, too many of them.. Shot this half moon by my Canon 70-200mm f2.8L on tripod, the result didnt came out as satisfied cause i had to zoom it to 200mm and had to cropped the picture to 100%... Will try another shoot sooner or later using the Canon 2x Extender... Hope can get better result and hope by that time i will see full moon... Cheers..

Nothing's up lately... Life still goes on... which means i still got to work to keep my living... its almost end of February now, chinese new year is over by now, everythings seems to goes back to normal, peoples who works goes back to works, peoples who study goes back to studying, and peoples who went working abroad went back to their place... Havent really got a chance to shoot any pictures lately, has been neglacted my camera equipment... Sometimes those kind of question would just pop up in my mind, "Why wasnt i born in a rich family?" Today without any expectation...without any preparation...U just suddenly appeard and standing in front of me...But what weird was, the feeling of surprise, the scared, the feeling to avoid you, the heart jumping, the sorrow...They are all GONE... I tested out this lens(7thFeb) which was borrowed from my partner from his boss and found unexpectable its quite sharp and the color is quite well balanced. But i was impressed for the fix aperture eventhough at F4 it still created a nice bokeh(blur background/out of focus area) and i actually think this lens is very suitable for group photo because at wide end of 17mm the distortion is not so high and yet its sharp, no doubt because it is a L lens. Guess my next lens will be this lens...just my 2 cents...

Its quite weird waking up 年初一 at my studio this year... I was awaken by the lion dance perform below my studio. I kept ignored it until i couldnt stand for the noise, cant believe i was also a previous lion dancer -_-" without any hesitation i grabbed my camera and shot the lion dance, but opss... wide angle... too wide... couldnt make a close up shot... So i grabbed my Canon 70-200mm F2.8L and attach it with a Canon 2x extender. Though it came out not a very nice shot(cause i just woke up...still blur...) and then the 2nd pic was the sunset of that day, couldnt make it to the beach so i just simply shot it from my studio window...what a round round...yolk...too bad i havent get my ND filter yet...Duh...

Today is another tiring working day, others is busying welcoming the new year while i am working... Finished worked around 12.07am i suddenly thought about something i always did every year on this day at this hour, that is to go pray at 普陀寺. And of course not forgotten my 22 years childhood's friends Alek & Antony. Alek went to worked at Miri since 8 years ago and since then got rooted in there and builded own business, Antony just came back from Kuching 2 years ago and since then always worked outstation around Sabah. All these years we didnt had much chances to meet each others, but we never missed this day, always when this day came, we sure gathered and went to 上香 together, 3 of us, We're the best friend since primary one. Too bad i didnt brought my camera cause i went there directly afterwork, so above was some pics i took using my lousy handphone haha.... And oh yeah, i missed my 团年饭 again...sigh.. Dad sounded very disappointed when i called home to inform them.. Sister is coming back this saturday, hope can mend the missing moments when she's here...

I am tired... Damn tired... Every year when Chinese New Year is approaching I sure got very tired... Minimum Tour guide, Maximum Tourist, yet the money we earn is still same as normal season. If this year i dont make it to eat 团年饭 with my family again, its gonna be the 3rd times means the 3rd years i stepped in tourism line... Luckily i have an understanding family, if not i sure been kicked out from the family since earlier ago...
Recently there's somethings happens that drive me quite unhappy.. plus my working stress, lack of sleep, bank loan, usage etc... I almost get crazy... I hope i can take some leave on march to go travelling to realease my tension... I really really HOPE...
Every Chinese New Year peoples sure busy to visits their relatives or gather with old friends who come back from working or study oversea, but me...DUH... I havent really sit down and chit chat with my old pals for long times already... WHAT a pity me... To all my friends, please understand me and please forgive me... YOU all knows you guys are always in my heart...
Well, whatever it is, here i wish all the tour guide 新年快乐! 万事如意!~ Most importantly, 团团顺利! and....新年快过...(LOL)...

I finally met up with my long long long times online's friend tonight at the Shenanegan's, 9696969696...~~ the legendary yawn cutie princess ELainey ~~~(LOL) after so many years, what? Like 7 years after known each others? Well, we 1st "saw" each other through this so called past item Motionless Gathering on year 2001 at yoyo damai? I am not even sure about the date anymore, just felt that we already chatted for very long times (we do right? eh?), and today like all of a sudden without any preparation, any notice noted, we met! Oh, and she's taller than i thought haha!(dont curse me..)
And not forgotten Chris, my precious friend, a young and talent photographer who i had put so much hope in was also with us. Tonight consider the last night of Chris staying in KK, he'll be leaving to KL tomorrow afternoon to further his studies. We ordered a Johnie Walker Black Label and geez, we only drank like 4 or 5% of it?? I know i'm getting old...whatever....

So here it is....To Elaine and Chris,
Getting to know you guys is such an inspiration and a changes to my point of view. U guys are actually on the same situation now, stepping forward into another big step of life, a new stage, only the route is different. All i can say is Cherish this moment, not lot of youngster can do what they likes to do in their whole life, because they dont have a choices, they dont even have the chances to earn it. But u guys are like sitting on a winning lottery, u both are given a chances, a chances to open up your future, something that peoples around u might have hunger for decade.
-Chris, as a photographer u should know and clear what is "moment", u have to move on, u have to stop living in the past and stop sobbing for the spilled milk, which had already gone alot further than u might thought. Learn to look forward, eventhough sometimes life is too hard that u might looks back, learn to smile and see through it, forgive and forget the past, life is too short for u to sigh and being pessimistic! I have high hope on u so dont disappointed me k!
-Elaine, u're really a beautiful girl, when i say beautiful, that mean its beyond what we can see on the surface, for some moment after we met, i blamed myself how come i waited till today to meet u up(LOL), but i'm still really glad that we still have the fate(after so many years), i always believe in god about this. No people in this world can predict what's gonna happen to them in the very next second, u should go for what u think and feel what is right, u're grown enough to make the decision. Remember, u live for urself, not for anyone else in this world, there's no such thing as someone cannot survive without the other besides. Sometimes its just the non reasonable reality in this world, the cruel realistic of this living space, just have to force u to letting go of something precious. Love is like a knife, it can either stab the heart or carve beautiful images into the soul that always last for a lifetime, i believe god just want u to meet some who's not right on the way, so that when u finally meet the right one, u make it perfect because of ur well experienced. Learn to be strong, there's nothing in this world to be afraid of, face it!

Yesterday only found out I actually does have a blog which has been abandoned for 2 years after only what, 1 post? LOL... So from today on I decided to keep going with what I had started...
